“I want you to feel like you are coming to have coffee with a friend…I am here to meet you right where you are in your life season, make sure you feel safe and cared for in my presence and then set goals together to make things less of what they are and more of what you need them to be.”

-Kristin Koulabouth, LPC

Meet Kristin…

Hi There! I'm Kristin and am the proud owner and sole Therapist at Changing Seasons Counseling & Coaching. I have served as a Therapist, Life Coach, School Counselor, Child Life Specialist and Parent Educator. I enjoy meeting my clients right where they are in their life journey, exploring how they arrived to that place and then setting goals to achieve through our time together. Upon request, I also provide Christian-Based/Biblical Counseling.

I practice an eclectic style of counseling that includes foundations in Life Coaching, Goal Setting, Solution-Focused Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gottman Relationship Counseling and Positive Psychology. I truly strive to create a safe, trustworthy and accepting environment where clients and myself can continually assess therapy progress together.

My areas of expertise include treating individuals with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress/overwhelm, self-confidence/worth and more. I am also a Gottman Trained Therapist who enjoys working with couples either for pre-marital counseling or for marriage counseling for all reasons other than physical abuse. I do offer coaching for life transitions that are not in need of a diagnosis, job searches, dating, etc.

I hold a bachelor’s degree from The University of North Texas and a masters degree from Dallas Baptist University. I live in Keller, my hometown, with my husband, daughter, dog and 2 cats. I love spending time with family and friends, reading, stand-up paddle boarding, coffee, wood-fired pizza, being an active member/volunteer at my church and jogging with my Golden Retriever, Cora.
